Film Showing: Health & the Hive: A Beekeeper’s Journey
Todd Hardie of Honey Gardens will show the new film “Health & the Hive: A Beekeeper’s Journey,” on Saturday, May 3, from 1-5pm at the Brattleboro Food Co-op. He will be serving free samples of raw honey and plant medicine and mead during the afternoon as well. The film was made by local filmmaker Jan Cannon, and explores the importance of honeybees in our lives. Some of the topics addressed in the film are pollination, queen breeding, disease control, bee venom therapy, organic agriculture and honey based plant medicine. The film will also be shown at the Putney Library on Friday, May 2, at 7pm.

Join local canner Anna Edson to experience the craft of making jams and jellies. Participants will be involved in all aspect of the jam making and canning process and get to take home samples. Pre-registration is required at the co-op.
