Our Ends Policies

The BFC exists to meet its shareholders collective needs for:

  1. Reasonably priced food and products with an emphasis on healthy, locally grown, organic, and fairly traded goods
  2. A welcoming community marketplace
  3. A regenerative business that has a net positive environmental impact
  4. A sustainable local economy
  5. Relevant information about food and related products, the environment, and the Cooperative Values and Principles
  6. Reasonable access to participation in the cooperative

The Board of Directors shall assure that the Values, Purpose and Mission statements of the Co-op, as described in the Ends Policies, are properly carried out and shall direct and control its business and affairs in the interests of its members.*

*By-Laws Article V Board of Directors, Sec. 5.1 - Powers and Duties

 

The Board meets the first Monday of the month at 5:15 p.m.; the second Monday if closed for a holiday. Meetings are held in the conference room at 2 Main Street. Please go to Shareholder Services for directions.
